April 26, 2024, Sacramento, CA
— Ukrainian American House is participating in this year’s Big Day of Giving, the annual giving day coordinated by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation that has raised $91 million for local organizations since it began in 2013.

Donations of any amount made to UA House will enable us to continue our efforts towards the advancement of various crucial initiatives. Your contributions will be channeled towards our recently launched Helping Paws initiative which seeks to counteract the pet crisis in Ukraine. Additionally, your donations will support our Care4U program, which is dedicated to providing mental health support to refugees. Furthermore, your generosity will enable us to continue sponsoring humanitarian aid programs, which provide crucial aid to people living close to the frontline as well as provide refugee support to those forcibly displaced following the unprovoked aggression.

Big Day of Giving is an opportunity for donors to rally around the organizations that make our community stronger by giving unrestricted donations. During last year’s Big Day of Giving, 762 nonprofits in the Sacramento region raised $13.8 million in 24 hours.

“We are honored to participate in the much-awaited Big Day of Giving Initiative this year. As we continue to strive towards our goal of serving the vibrant and diverse community of Sacramento, we look forward to making a meaningful contribution through this initiative,” said Caroleana Kvaterchuk Allison, Executive Director of Ukrainian American House. “I believe it's in our power to make the Sacramento region a healthier, more vibrant, and stronger community. We strongly encourage everyone to join us in our efforts to achieve this goal! Your involvement can make a significant difference.”

Donors who want to plan their giving ahead of the 24-hour challenge can visit www.bigdayofgiving.org before Big Day of Giving to review nonprofit profiles and, from April 18 through May 2, donate funds and launch personal fundraising campaigns to support their favorite nonprofits.
