Maryna Smishko Appointed Executive Director of UA House
July 16, 2025 — Roseville, CA - During
its biannual meeting, the Board of Directors of Ukrainian American House voted to formally appoint Maryna Smishko as the organization’s Executive Director.
Maryna had been serving as Interim Executive Director since January 2025, guiding the organization through a pivotal six-month transitional period of active growth, structural development, and strategic program expansion. Following a thorough review of her contributions and leadership impact, the Board expressed its strong confidence in her ability to lead the organization forward.
Under Maryna’s leadership, Ukrainian American House brought together a mission-driven team, which successfully launched key initiatives to support the well-being and self-sufficiency of Sacramento-area communities. These include programs in health and mental health care, education and career guidance, affordable housing, and immigrant support services.
“It is an honor for me to take on the role of Executive Director and to continue leading and developing Ukrainian American House,” said Maryna Smishko. Over the past six months, our dedicated team has shown what can be achieved when people come together with purpose and compassion. I’m inspired by our growing impact — both in serving the local community, and in advancing advocacy for Ukraine across the United States.”
