Ukrainian Kolo Welcomes Consul General and Over 500 Community Members

More than 500 community members gathered for another successful Ukrainian Kolo, creating a space for connection, learning, support, and meaningful conversations.

As one of the largest recurring community events supported by Ukrainian American House, Ukrainian Kolo continues to bring together families, newcomers, professionals, community leaders, and local organizations in an environment focused on connection, collaboration, and mutual support.

A special highlight of this month’s event was welcoming Dmytro Kushneruk, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, and Vlad Skots, Chairman of Ukrainian American House and CEO of USKO, who led an informative and engaging community discussion.

Together, they addressed many of the questions and concerns currently affecting Ukrainian families living in the United States, including passports, documentation, powers of attorney, family-related matters, and other important consular issues.

The open Q&A session gave attendees a unique opportunity to receive trusted information directly from community and diplomatic leaders while discussing practical topics relevant to their daily lives.

In addition to the discussion, families enjoyed a variety of educational and community activities throughout the day. A dedicated children’s area offered creative projects and hands-on learning opportunities, including Father’s Day-themed crafts that allowed young participants to prepare special gifts for their dads.

The event also featured one of the community’s favorite traditions — a grand prize raffle. Participants had the opportunity to win TVs, computers, tablets, Jet Ski rides, and many other exciting prizes generously provided by sponsors and community partners.

Beyond the activities and giveaways, UA House continues to serve an important purpose: helping Ukrainian families build relationships, discover resources, access services, and strengthen their connection to the broader community.

Ukrainian American House is grateful to all attendees, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and special guests who helped make this Ukrainian Kolo another meaningful and memorable gathering.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next Ukrainian Kolo.
