More Than a Business Breakfast: 50+ Trucking Professionals Unite to Shape the Industry’s Future

A Timely Conversation for an Industry Facing New Challenges
On October 9, 2026, Sacramento Business Hub, an initiative of Ukrainian American House (UA House), brought together more than 50 trucking and transportation professionals for a business breakfast focused on the realities and future of the trucking industry.
The event welcomed a diverse audience, from emerging entrepreneurs and small fleet owners to representatives of established mid-sized and large transportation companies across Sacramento and surrounding communities.
At a time when the trucking industry continues to navigate market uncertainty, operational pressures, and evolving regulatory requirements, the event provided a much-needed opportunity for open dialogue, practical insights, and meaningful professional connections.
What began as an expert-led discussion quickly evolved into something more: a dynamic networking platform where industry leaders, business owners, and professionals could exchange experiences, address shared challenges, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Bringing the Trucking Community Together
The event was opened by Vlad Skots, CEO, USKO Express and Chairman of Ukrainian American House, who welcomed attendees, introduced the featured speakers, and shared his perspective on the current state of the transportation market.
In his opening remarks, Vlad emphasized the importance of building stronger connections within the trucking community and creating opportunities for ongoing professional cooperation.
“We have an incredible concentration of trucking businesses, experienced professionals, and entrepreneurial talent in Sacramento and the surrounding region. What we have needed for a long time is a platform that brings this community together. Whether it eventually takes the form of an industry association or another collaborative network, today’s event clearly demonstrated that the demand for stronger connections and cooperation is real.”
— Vlad Skots, Founder of USKO Express, Chairman of Ukrainian American House
Industry Leaders Share Insights and Practical Perspectives
At the heart of the event was an engaging panel discussion featuring four distinguished industry professionals:
- Andrey Romanov, CEO of DC Transport
- Elena Dipon, President & CEO of LED Trucking Inc.
- Nick Darman, Founder & CEO of Alvys
- Andrey Savchenko, Head of Safety & Compliance at Divine Enterprises
Drawing on their extensive experience, the panelists explored some of the most pressing issues facing the trucking industry today, including changing market conditions, operational efficiency, safety and compliance, regulatory developments, and long-term business sustainability.
Rather than focusing solely on market forecasts, the conversation centered on practical challenges and real-world business experiences.
The interactive format encouraged attendees to raise questions, share their perspectives, and engage directly with the experts, creating a valuable exchange of knowledge between industry leaders and business owners.
Sacramento Business Hub extends its sincere appreciation to all four speakers for their expertise, openness, and willingness to contribute to a stronger and better-informed trucking community.
Beyond Networking: Building Meaningful Industry Connections
One of the most significant outcomes of the breakfast was the level of engagement among attendees.
Throughout the event, trucking company owners, executives, and industry specialists connected with peers, exchanged contacts, discussed shared business challenges, and identified potential areas for future partnerships.
For emerging entrepreneurs, the gathering offered access to experienced industry leaders and practical business insights. For established operators, it created opportunities to exchange market intelligence, strengthen professional relationships, and explore new approaches to common industry challenges.
The enthusiasm and participation demonstrated that the trucking community is looking for more than occasional networking events. There is a growing need for consistent professional dialogue, trusted relationships, and a collaborative environment where businesses can learn from and support one another.
Turning Industry Dialogue Into Future Opportunities
The discussion was moderated by Denys Nakonechnyi, CEO of Ukrainian American House, who guided the conversation, introduced key topics, and encouraged meaningful engagement between the panelists and the audience.
Reflecting on the event, Denys highlighted the importance of maintaining an ongoing dialogue in a rapidly changing business environment.
“This was an exceptionally productive gathering. The insights shared by our speakers and the questions raised by participants made one thing clear: today’s trucking market requires businesses to stay informed, adapt quickly, and remain connected. From regulatory developments to broader market changes, access to timely information and professional expertise is essential. Based on the feedback we’ve received, we’re already exploring opportunities to bring this community together again.”
— Denys Nakonechnyi, CEO of Ukrainian American House
The overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees has already sparked conversations about future industry-focused gatherings.
Organizers are exploring the possibility of establishing a recurring series of trucking business meetings or hosting additional expert discussions addressing specific challenges and emerging opportunities within the sector.
Recognizing Our Partners and Supporters
Sacramento Business Hub and Ukrainian American House extend their sincere gratitude to USKO Express, the event partner, and Alvys, the event sponsor, along with its Founder & CEO, Nick Darman, for their generous support and contribution to the success of this gathering.
Special thanks also go to the featured speakers, participating business leaders, and every attendee whose questions, insights, and active engagement made the conversation both productive and meaningful.
The success of this Trucking Business Breakfast reinforced an important idea: the future of a stronger trucking industry depends not only on individual business performance, but also on the connections, knowledge, and partnerships built across the professional community.
Through Sacramento Business Hub, Ukrainian American House remains committed to fostering entrepreneurship, strengthening business networks, and creating spaces where meaningful conversations lead to practical opportunities.
More than 50 professionals came together for one morning of conversation. What emerged was the potential for something much bigger — a more connected, collaborative, and resilient trucking community across Northern California.
