UA House Expands Youth Empowerment Initiatives Through Hands-On Blogging & Content Creation Workshop

This week, UA House hosted an interactive workshop for teenagers and young adults focused on blogging, digital media, and content creation.

By using the highly engaging world of blogging and social media as a learning platform, UA House continues helping young people channel their creativity, develop communication skills, build confidence, and discover positive directions for personal growth and future career opportunities.

The workshop was led by Sacramento-based content creator Svitlana Yotko, who shared practical insights from her own experience creating online content, growing social media platforms, and building audience engagement.

During the event, participants learned:
• how to record their first videos
• basic editing and content creation techniques
• how to choose camera angles and create engaging visuals
• social media growth strategies
• different formats of blogging and digital storytelling
• opportunities for monetization and career development in digital media

Beyond learning technical media skills, one of the workshop’s main goals was to help teenagers step outside their comfort zones, begin expressing themselves more confidently, and experience early moments of achievement that can positively influence motivation, self-esteem, and long-term personal growth.

As part of the youth support initiative implemented by Ukrainian American House in partnership with UC Davis, the organization continues creating opportunities that help young people discover their talents, strengthen practical skills, build meaningful connections, and develop a stronger sense of direction for their future.

This workshop is part of a broader series of youth-focused educational and career exploration initiatives currently being developed by UA House, including upcoming visits and learning opportunities connected with leading technology companies such as Google and NVIDIA, as well as an educational excursion to Stanford University.

By creating inspiring and engaging experiences for youth, we at UA House believe we are investing in the next generation of young leaders, creators, and professionals within the community.
