Ukrainian Kolo — Community Gathering for Ukrainian Families

Ukrainian American House warmly invites everyone who is part of the Ukrainian community, supports Ukraine, or would like to become part of the Ukrainian-American community to join Ukrainian Kolo — a gathering created for connection, communication, and mutual support.
Guests will have the opportunity to:
• receive a consultation from an immigration attorney
• connect with the local Ukrainian community
• participate in family, children’s, and teen activities
• enjoy traditional Ukrainian borscht and community fellowship
• Participants will also have a chance to win one of 10 laptops provided by the event partners — Ukrainian American House and Skylex.
At this event UA House will provide the following services:
As part of the CDSS Domestic Violence Prevention grant, Peer to Peer Counseling Mental Health Support sessions with a counselor will be available for individuals seeking support, guidance, and a safe space to be heard.
Additional Peer to Peer mental health support sessions will also be provided through the PHI Mental Health grant.
As part of the URSI program, there will be a special session for teenagers and youth focused on internet space, digital safety, and challenges of the modern online environment.
In addition, through the RSI program, children will participate in creative crafts and Mother’s Day card making activities.

Yarmarka Multicultural Festival
The event draws in thousands of attendees and offers a range of activities, such as trade shows, consultations, master classes by famous stylists/makeup artists, raffle prizes, and more. The festival is held annually and will celebrate its 23th year on May 18, 2024, at Downtown Sacramento’s Southside Park. This family-oriented, multicultural event brings together over a dozen ethnic groups from the greater Sacramento area.
