Protect Your Rights in the USA Workshop

When should you call 911? What information should you provide in an emergency? How should you respond if you are stopped by police or if an officer comes to your home?

Join us for “Protect Your Rights in the USA,” a practical community workshop designed to help you better understand how to communicate and interact with law enforcement in the United States.

Representatives of the local police department will join us as speakers and special guests to discuss real-life situations, explain what to expect when interacting with police, and answer questions from the community.

We will talk about calling 911 and non-emergency services, what to do when you need police assistance, how to behave during a traffic stop, what to expect if police come to your home, and other important situations everyone should be prepared for.

The workshop will include an open Q&A, giving participants an opportunity to ask questions directly and receive practical information from law enforcement representatives.
