Give a Child a Safe, Meaningful Summer — Your Support Is Needed Now
Many immigrant and refugee families cannot afford private camps or enrichment programs. Without structured activities, children spend summer isolated at home or online.
This July, Ukrainian American House is launching the Summer Children’s Development & Activity Day Center for children ages 6–15 — and families are already asking for help. Parents are reaching out, hoping their children can join a safe, structured, and uplifting environment during the summer months.
But here is the urgent reality:
‍We cannot open the program to all families without donor support. Â
The number of children we can accept depends entirely on sponsorships. Without sufficient funding, the program itself is at risk, and many children who need this support may be turned away.
The center provides mentorship, friendship, learning, and emotional support — all essential for children adjusting to life in a new culture while their parents work to rebuild their lives in a new country.
Sponsor a Child for $300 — Open the Door for a Child Who Needs This
The full cost for one child to attend the program is $300.
For most families, this is a significant barrier. Your sponsorship removes that barrier and gives a child access to a summer they would otherwise miss.
Your $300 sponsorship provides:
- Daily summer programming (July 15–31)
- Creative arts & hands‑on projects
- STEM & interactive learning
- Team-building & friendship development
- Leadership & communication exercises
- Sports, games & movement activities
- Mentor support & personal encouragement
- A safe, welcoming, positive environment
You’re not just covering a fee — you’re giving a child confidence, connection, stability, and hope.
