Providing Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv with the Necessary Equipment
Project need $82,000
Ohmatdyt is the largest children's hospital in Ukraine. It is of utmost importance that the hospital continues to operate even under the most difficult and severe times of conflict. UA House has prioritized supplying Ohmatdyt with all the necessary medical equipment to continue to provide life-saving treatments to children and adults during the war.
Your donation will be income to the “Ukrainian American House” that has registered 501(с) 3 non-profit organisation. No administration fee. 100% of fund goes to the project.
Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital is the biggest diagnostic and treatment center that provides highly specialized medical care for children of Ukraine and treats up to 20,000 children annually. With the start of the war on February 25th, this number increased dramatically.
Currently, Ohmatdyt admits children and adults for treatment and medical assistance. The hospital provides highly specialized cancer treatments, dialysis, and complex surgeries. Amidst the current crisis, people require continued, essential life-saving treatment, which is why it is crucial to provide the hospital with necessary supplies.
Intense hostilities in Ukraine cause severe damage to the country's infrastructure and economy, worsening the existing humanitarian conditions and creating new urgent needs. The hospital constantly admits wounded people and provides them with emergency medical care and hospitalization. Our priority remains to help the sick and wounded, ensure children's and women's safety, and help all displaced people with children.
We are raising funds to provide Ohmatdyt Hospital with much-needed ultrasound diagnostic systems. To keep providing necessary care for children and adults, Ohmatdyt needs at least two of these systems, DC-80 X-insight; each cost is $82,000. This equipment is crucially needed to protect the most vulnerable groups of people by creating precise 3D and 4D ultrasound images and better spatial contrast resolution.
The aid will ensure the timely saving of the lives of all patients and victims of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
