The emergency, rapid and timely medical response is critically needed in the frontlines zones in Ukraine right now. The situation with the lack of readily available ambulances in the war zone is critical. In fact, every car that can fit a stretcher has already been converted and is utilized as an ambulance. 

Currently, the frontline stretches over 1,500 miles and spans over seven regions where hostilities and shellings are constant. Every single day there are hundreds of injured civilians and even more, injured soldiers. Additionally, mobile medical hospitals are a great resource for patients that require immediate invasive medical procedures and cannot wait to be transported to the hospital. They are equipped for resuscitation, complex surgeries, and life support. 

UA House is working with OSF and UMANA to find available mobile medical hospitals in the United States, to purchase for donation to Ukraine. The cost of each varies from $50,000-150,000 however a price cannot be placed on the value of life. 

UA House's goal is to continue providing Ukraine with efficient and important means of emergency transportation. Together with our partners OSF HealthCare and UMANA, we have a goal of delivering 10 adequately equipped ambulances. 

The total cost of all logistic expenses was $6000 for each one. We need to work together to save lives of innocent citizens, as well as people who bravely defend our freedom and democracy values.

Support for Struggling Families in Rivne

Okhmatdyt hospital has long been a cornerstone of medical care for some of the country's most vulnerable children. Established in 1894, Okhmatdyt has a storied history of saving lives, performing over 10,000 surgeries annually during peacetime with 720 hospital beds serving more than 20,000 patients yearly.



Before russian full-scale invasion, Okhmatdyt was renowned as Ukraine's leading medical institution, providing specialized care across 80 departments for conditions ranging from oncology to rare genetic diseases like SMA, and pioneering procedures such as bone marrow and organ transplants.



In solidarity with our partners at Okhmatdyt, we are actively exploring ways to provide support during this challenging period. Our thoughts are with the courageous healthcare professionals and staff who continue to work tirelessly amidst the chaos and devastation.

Okhmatdyt Hospital: Urgent Relief by UA House

The "Specialized Medical Center for Children with Epidermolysis Bullosa'' has been providing assistance to children with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and blisters for the past decade. This rare genetic disorder causes thin skin and mucous membranes, which are easily damaged, leading to a lot of suffering for young patients. Sores and blisters can appear on any part of their skin, even with minor friction or injury, causing pain and itching.

EB affects not only the physical health of children but also their psychological well-being, making their everyday lives more challenging and preventing them from enjoying a normal and happy childhood. Epidermolysis bullosa is a rare disease, and only half a million people in the world have it, according to scientists.

In Ukraine, individuals with EB are recognized as people with disabilities and can only be treated at Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in the "Specialized Medical Center for Children with Epidermolysis Bullosa." In these difficult times, especially in the midst of war, the Center requires our support and encouragement to help all its patients. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for EB, but further treatment can help alleviate the pain and manage the condition. People with EB cover their wounds with dry plasters, pay attention to their diet, avoid injuries, and seek treatment for pain-related illnesses to manage their symptoms.

Your kind donations will assist us in providing collagen patches that are necessary for bandaging and closing wounds to significantly ease the pain and improve the quality of life for those suffering from EB.

We started our mission in Ukraine following the first days of war and focused on providing targeted help and assistance. We have noticed that only a small part of the food products that came to Ukraine through various international humanitarian organizations was delivered to people living in the front-line area. Most humanitarian aids remained in territories that are far from the combat zone. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of people continue to live in the cities and towns under constant shelling and experience severe food shortages.

UA House sets a mission to deliver and distribute food packages to people who live within 50 miles of the war zone.

Napa Valley has had several refugee families recently settle here. While each has individual family sponsors, there are significant financial needs to get these newcomers firmly established. The most urgent need is for a family of four (a 49-year-old grandmother, her 26 and 11-year-old daughters, and an adorable 3-year-old granddaughter) who arrived in the USA on August 1. They fled from two crises: their home in Mariupol was destroyed, and they were victims of domestic violence. They arrived with almost no possessions. Until they can gain full-time employment, they will need financial assistance with housing (first three to four months rent as they have no credit history in the U.S.) rent, security deposit) a donated car, funds for car + registration and insurance, clothing, household and school supplies, etc. Other Ukrainian refugees we are hosting will also need help with deposits on a rental and funds for car related expenses Our friends at Napa Ford Lincoln will service donated cars for refugees without charge.

Napa Valley to Ukraine Refugee Support Fund

UA English Club is a project striving to connect kids who want to learn English with volunteers who are willing to help. Ukrainian children are facing situations that make it difficult to attend school, especially if displaced from their homes. 

Therefore, we are utilizing the power of video meetings to bring the classroom to them. Our project offers many different classes, some structured as traditional educational courses, while others are casual games. Participants in each class speak English to improve their vocabulary and understanding. Learning English at a young age helps kids interact with the international world and opens up many possibilities for the future. 

We are gathering volunteers around the world who have at least a conversational grasp of the English language so they can talk about these subjects with kids. The format of the lessons is different, but it is a speaking club where everyone can participate. 

In the 1st month of the program, we had 100+ volunteers from 20+ countries speaking with 500+ kids that were collectively having an average of 5 classes per day with 15 students per class. Connecting so many people from around the world that want to help the kids has been absolutely amazing

We are diligently trying to keep the costs of this project as small as possible, and the web-based platform helps us achieve this goal, unfortunately, some expenses are unavoidable. We need your help to fund the ongoing expense of website and video hosting ($2,000/month) as well as two employees ($8,000/mo) that manage the social media, volunteer sign-ups, basic administration, communication, and support. 

All volunteers are welcome to join the program, all you need is a good grasp of English, an hour of your time, and a lot of patience to help the kids learn something about the world. You can teach any subject (Art, History, Reading, etc) or just play games and watch videos in English (I-Spy is a popular one).
