Clean water for people in high conflict areas
Project need $35.000
In cities experiencing constant attacks and raging war, there is limited or no access to clean drinking water. During the first few weeks of the attacks, Russians strategically targeted and destroyed water systems. UA has undertaken an effort to finance the production and installation of 20 water purification systems. If successful, they will create access to clean drinking water for more than 600,000 people.
Your donation will be income to the “Ukrainian American House” that has registered 501(с) 3 non-profit organisation. No administration fee. 100% of fund goes to the project.
Many cities and towns have continued to experience a lack of access to clean drinking water since the early attacks in February. For months the water treatment and purification systems and pumping tanks have been destroyed with no means of repair. Reports indicate that about 4 million residents in Ukraine are living without clean water, leading to severe dehydration, various diseases, and death.
Currently, water gets delivered from neighboring cities and towns. Residents are entirely dependent on these water deliveries. They stand in lines for several hours and often are turned away because the water runs out quickly.
To address the water crisis, UA House partnered with Water Mission to fund and install automated water treatment systems that will produce up to 4,300 gallons of clean water per hour and create access for twenty thousand people per system.
Each water system costs $35,000 to implement. The process includes drilling water well, purchasing and delivering equipment, and installation before it can be used.
UA House has a goal of fundraising for the production and installation of 20 points of water purification. Which will create water access for 600,000 people.
The cost of providing one person access to clean water is approximately $1. Join our effort to supply clean water to Ukraine!
