Community Safety Workshop

‍Have you ever wondered when a situation becomes serious enough to call 911? What behaviors are considered domestic violence under U.S. law, and what legal protections are available to victims?

Join UA House for an informative community meeting dedicated to understanding domestic violence prevention and personal safety in the United States.

As part of our Violence Prevention Series, we are inviting a law enforcement representative and a legal expert to share practical guidance on recognizing abusive behavior, understanding your rights, and knowing when it is appropriate to seek help from the police.

During this session, you will learn:

• how U.S. law defines domestic violence and abusive behavior;
• what actions may require immediate police intervention;
• when it is appropriate to call 911;
• what legal protections are available to victims;
• what to do if you or someone you know is experiencing abuse;
• where to find support and community resources.

Whether you have personally experienced violence, know someone who may need help, or simply want to be informed and prepared, this meeting will provide valuable knowledge that could help protect you or those around you.
