The College Roadmap Workshop is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and tools needed to guide their children from school to college.
This event, organized by UA House in partnership with Twin Rivers Unified School District, focuses on helping parents better understand the long-term path toward college success — starting as early as elementary and middle school, and continuing through high school.
During the workshop, participants will learn about the key stages of a student’s academic journey, including how to make informed decisions about school programs, course selection, and academic priorities. The session will also highlight important milestones, common challenges, and often overlooked factors that can significantly impact a student’s future opportunities.
Parents will gain practical insights on how to support their children, how to encourage long-term thinking, and how to help them stay focused on their goals — even at an early age when college may not yet feel relevant.
This workshop is especially valuable for families who want to better understand the education system in the United States and take a proactive approach to their child’s future.
