Join us for the Sacramento Solidarity Rally for Ukraine, a powerful event aimed at showing support and standing in solidarity with the people affected by the unprovoked full-scale invasion that began two years ago.
Gather in city to say NO to the war and NO to the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
On February 24th, 2024 the Ukrainian American House, in partnership with the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, The Sunflower Society, SOL Church, ParaSOLka, and Ethno FM Radio organized the Sacramento Solidarity Rally for Ukraine. The rally aimed to show support for the Ukrainian people in their fight for justice and freedom. The event featured honorable guest speakers, including the General Consul of Ukraine, Dmytro Kushneruk, and the Major General of California, Matthew Beevers, as well as community leaders and activists. They addressed the current unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and its impact on the global stage. During the rally, we also took the time to commemorate Ukraine's resilience.
We expressed our gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers bravely serving on the frontlines, the volunteers serving on territorial defenses, and the many brave families and community members standing strong and supporting these efforts.

Goal
Together, we will stand in unity and raise our voices to raise awareness about the ongoing situation in Ukraine. This rally is an opportunity for us to come together as a community, show our support, and express our solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
By attending this event, you will have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals who share a common goal: to advocate for peace, justice, and stability in Ukraine. We encourage everyone to join us, regardless of their background or nationality.
WHAT TO EXPECT
During the rally, we will have guest speakers, community leaders, and activists who will address the current unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and its impact on the global stage.
There will also be opportunities for attendees to:
- Engage in peaceful demonstrations
- Sign petitions and letters to Congress urging them to Support Ukraine
- Station write letters and cards for Ukrainian soldiers on the frontlines
- Flashmob in support of Ukraine
- Food and drinks
Statement from Ukrainian American House
This month, we commemorate the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of the free and sovereign state of Ukraine. 2 years of resilience, 730 days of unjustified terror. More than 20,000 kidnapped Ukrainian children, over 4 million Ukrainians lost their homes, and more than a third of the Ukrainian population has been forcibly displaced. We will continue to stand up and say NO to russia’s war against Ukraine and NO to the genocide of the Ukrianian people.
We are grateful and humbled by the generosity and compassion that Sacramento has had for our community over the past two years. We ask that the broader Sacramento community join us next Saturday at the Sacramento Solidarity Rally for Ukraine at the California Capitol Building and continue supporting the Ukrainian people in their fight for justice and freedom. By standing together, we can make a positive impact and advocate for peace, justice, and stability in Ukraine.
