Supporting Well-Being and Connection: Creative Workshop for Ukrainian Women

Ukrainian American House was glad to partner in a special community event created for women from newly arrived Ukrainian families. The gathering provided a supportive space where our clients were able to participate, connect with others, and take part in activities focused on emotional well-being, communication, and building new relationships.

Ukrainian American House was glad to partner in a special community event created for women from newly arrived Ukrainian families. The gathering provided a supportive space where our clients were able to participate, connect with others, and take part in activities focused on emotional well-being, communication, and building new relationships.

The event combined a mental wellness format with a creative мастер-class, where participants joined a soap-making workshop and had the opportunity to create something with their own hands in a calm and friendly atmosphere. The creative process allowed the women to relax, express themselves, and enjoy a moment of positive interaction with others who share similar experiences.

Activities like this have value beyond the practical skills gained during the workshop. They also support socialization, emotional recovery, and confidence building, which are especially important for people who are adapting to life in a new country. Creating a safe and welcoming environment helps participants feel more connected, involved, and supported.

Ukrainian American House is grateful for the opportunity to partner in events like this and is happy that the women we serve were able to take part. We believe that programs focused on community, creativity, and mental well-being play an important role in helping newly arrived families feel more stable, confident, and at home in the United States.
