Ukrainian American House recently hosted a special creative workshop for children from newly arrived Ukrainian families. The event brought together nearly 30 children for an afternoon of art, connection, and encouragement.

During the painting master class, children had the opportunity to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and express themselves in a safe and supportive environment. Beyond the creative process itself, the workshop created valuable social benefits — helping children build confidence, interact with peers, and feel a sense of belonging within a welcoming community.

Our instructors surrounded the children with care, attention, and positive encouragement, ensuring that each participant felt seen and supported.

While the children were engaged in the workshop, parents had the opportunity to learn more about available adaptation resources and services in the United States. Ukrainian American House shared information about practical support options and offered guidance in accessing essential services that can help families build stability and confidence in their new environment.

We are proud to continue creating spaces where Ukrainian families feel supported, connected, and empowered as they begin their new chapter in the United States.
